Adia Millett: Proofs and Illusions

January 10-March 23, 2008
Adia Millet uses found materials and constructs places “that you can walk through and others that you can only peer into with voyeuristic intent.” Millet’s doll size/full size apartment buildings furnished with miniature bassinets and bedside pistols imply that the American dream and disaster, home and the world, are separated by the thinnest of walls. Peter Eudenbach: Pneumatic Lens

October 4-December 30, 2007
Peter Eudenbach uses commonplace objects to create sculptures, videos and installations. His work evokes humor while encouraging viewers to take a closer look through his witty combinations of materials and attention to detail. Works such as Coffee Table, a fully-functional, percolating coffee table, invite contemplation of everyday objects and occurrences with tongue- in-cheek revelry. Eudenbach’s sense of serious play reflects an interest in artists such as Dadaist Marcel Duchamp and Surrealist René Magritte while the work’s functionality reflects experimental tenets of someone like Thomas Edison.
