Generation MOCA is a committee of young professionals whose mission is to advocate for the arts in support of MOCA’s mission. The purpose of Generation MOCA is to promote the interests of MOCA through fundraising and volunteer work. The committee will also work to increase MOCA’s presence in the community, to promote MOCA membership, and to cultivate the future leaders of MOCA.
Generation MOCA’s first major fundraising push came in the form of an inaugural event called “ARTini” which took place at the museum in May of 2013. This partnership with a national spirits distributor brought together 10 area restaurants, challenging each to create a signature “ARTini” which was reflective of their restaurant’s unique flair, along with a piece of art. The event featured live music and “ARTini” samplings and food pairings from each participating restaurant. The art pieces were also auctioned off to raise funds for MOCA.
