MICHAEL REA: Wood I, Could I?

April 3-June 15, 2008
Michael Rea’s works are evocative and rational responses to history. Constructed from untreated wood and memory, they invoke one simple axiomatic truth: fictions or established hearsay allow for flawed interpretations that lead to flawed results. The artist pays particular attention to the concepts of time, space, location and association. The works have been recontextualized from their first showing at Galerie Kamm, Berlin.
