Peter Eudenbach uses commonplace objects to create sculptures, videos and installations. His work evokes humor while encouraging viewers to take a closer look through his witty combinations of materials and attention to detail. Works such as Coffee Table, a fully-functional, percolating coffee table, invite contemplation of everyday objects and occurrences with tongue- in-cheek revelry. Eudenbach’s sense of serious play reflects an interest in artists such as Dadaist Marcel Duchamp and Surrealist René Magritte while the work’s functionality reflects experimental tenets of someone like Thomas Edison.
