Hampton Roads Student Gallery 2015

For over 30 years Student Gallery has provided students in 11th and 12th grade the opportunity to exhibit their artwork in leading museums and institutions in the Hampton Roads Region of Virginia. Students participate annually through teacher and school administrator solicitation.  Student Gallery significantly impacts schools and communities throughout the Hampton Roads Region. Participation for the project comes from the following cities: Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach.  A panel of knowledgeable art professionals are hired to act as un-biased jurors to review student work.  These experts select 6 student Finalists and 20 Hon…

Selections from the AIGA SHRED Skateboard Art Show

JANUARY 31 - APRIL 19, 2015
MOCA has partnered with AIGA Hampton Roads to exhibit a selection of skateboards from their annual SHRED Design Competition.  In 2014, over 50 graphic artists submitted skatedeck designs to be judges by a panel of art professionals. AIGA held the annual event at MOCA, where all skatedecks were displayed and awards were presented.
