Founded in 1982, The Chesapeake Bay Watercolorists is a membership organization which seeks to bring together watercolor artists of all levels of experience for the purpose of sharing knowledge, providing opportunities to exhibit, and learning more about the art and practice of watercolor through monthly programs with visiting artists, demonstrations, critiques, and workshops. For this exhibition, the artists connect to MOCA’s Brian Dettmer: Elemental exhibition by taking their inspiration from printed materials such as books, magazines and journals or the content found inside these printed materials.
