In celebration of the Instagratification: Christine Michalka-Marahrens exhibition the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) invited the community in Hampton Roads to participate in the My Hampton Roads: Community Project. This online and in-gallery project serves as the community’s artistic response to the prompt “My Hampton Roads….” MOCA asked the community to submit one original photograph and caption on MOCA’s Facebook page. Each week the photographs are compiled into an online album for everyone to enjoy and the most “liked” photographs are transferred into a slideshow in gallery at MOCA.
