www.rjclarkart.com/

The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) has partnered with The Runnymede Corporation to open a permanent satellite gallery in the lobby of their Virginia Beach headquarters at 600 22nd Street, Pavilion II, a short walk from the museum. MOCA Satellite Gallery at Pavilion II has over 80 combined feet of wall space spanning the lobby and hallways of the first floor. Exhibitions will rotate every three months featuring work from local and regional artists, some available for purchase. Exhibitions will be organized by MOCA Curator, Heather Hakimzadeh and Director of Exhibitions and Education, Alison Byrne.

The first exhibition will showcase the work of Virginia Beach artist RJ Clark who has been producing and exhibiting art since the 70's. RJ’s realistic, often photorealistic, finely detailed watercolors and large format oil paintings on linen and canvas will be on display at MOCA Satellite Gallery at Pavilion II starting April 18th through the end of July.  His past exhibits include two at MOCA, “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” in 2011 and the annual juried exhibition “New Waves” in 2009, as well as many other exhibits in museums and galleries up and down the east coast. The exhibition will also include an interactive component with QR codes to scan and download short audio tours to your mobile device containing insights from the artist.
