Jimmy Williams: Our Waters

Limited Edition Panorama Series

The "Our Waters" series was created by Raleigh, North Carolina-based fine art and assignment photographer,Jimmy Williams. Originally photographed in 2010, the work examines and celebrates the beauty of America’sprecious shorelines. Williams produced the series in response to the recent oil spill in the Gulf. It is his hope thatthe images will inspire people become aware of the importance of sustaining our wetlands and that coastalpreservation will continue for years to come. Limited edition prints are available for purchase and all proceedssupport Gulf Aid.

Williams studied visual design at North Carolina State University and shortly thereafter opened an independentstudio where he established himself as a successful, award-winning assignment photographer. Now, more thanthirty years later, Williams devotes much of his time to personal photography endeavors by nurturing and maturinghis process to develop significant bodies of work.

Williams' photos have been well-received by the fine art and publishing community. Most recently, Williams wasawarded the "Excellence Award" in Masters Cup Awards, "Outstanding Achievement in Photography" at the International Spider Awards and 2ndplace "Deeper Perspective Photographer of the Year" at the Lucie Awards Gala at the Lincoln Center, NYC. Otherrecent accolades include multiple editorial features in Photo District News, B&W, Communication Arts, and Graphics.
