“In the future, everyone will be world famous for 15 minutes” - Andy Warhol

In celebration of our upcoming Andy Warhol: Portraits exhibition, the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) invited all artists living in Hampton Roads to participate in “Fifteen Square Inches of Fame.” The open exhibition will be presented in conjunction with Warhol’s Portraits, and will serve as the community’s artistic response to the life and work of Andy Warhol. Throughout his career, Warhol portrayed celebrities, friends, family, and public figures alike in his signature style, revolutionizing the conversations we have about art and American pop culture. This was a special opportunity for all visual artists to show how Warhol has influenced them and exhibit their work at MOCA.
