On stage at Virginia MOCA, exhibiting artist Michael Kagan is joined by astronaut, author, and STEAM education advocate Leland Melvin. Kagan and Melvin will have a conversation about art, space, and the importance of curiosity and exploration of the world around us followed by a Q&A and book signing by both featured speakers. Kagan’s monograph, with foreward by Pharrell Williams and introduction by Virginia MOCA’s own Alison Byrne, Michael Kagan: I Was There When It Happened, and Melvin’s memoir Chasing Space: An Astronaut's Story of Grit, Grace, and Second Chances will be available to purchase.
