This year Virginia MOCA will host its first juried teen exhibition during the Summer of Women. This exhibition will be open to young women ages 13-19. The entries will be juried by a committee of their peers, who will work closely with Virginia MOCA staff to curate a selection of artworks that display creativity and vision.
This exhibition will be shown in the Fleming Gallery at Virginia MOCA and our Satellite Gallery located at Towne Pavilion II in conjunction with the main gallery exhibitions She Says: Women, Words, and Power, and Amplify.

Artwork created by young women ages 13-19 will be eligible for this juried exhibition. Submissions will be judged on originality, technical skill, and personal voice or vision. Submission will be accepted through Google Form only. The deadline for submissions is June 27, 2021.
You will be required to upload digital images of your artwork for jury review. Juror selections are made online.
If you need help with your submission, museum staff are available to speak with you during the museum’s regular office hours (Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm).
Acceptance: Virginia MOCA will notify all accepted artists by July 16, 2021 Accepted artists will also be listed on www.VirginiaMOCA.org.
Artists are responsible for delivery to and from MOCA. Accepted artworks are to be hand-delivered by the artist.

Virginia MOCA cannot insure works on display during the exhibition. The museum cannot accommodate placing work in specific locations in the gallery. Artwork will be accepted for display only and will not be for sale.
